I am honored to have been appointed as a result of the Primaries co-spokesperson of the European Green campaign and candidate for the presidency of the European Commission with Ska Keller.
Together we will lead this campaign to defend a Europe that protects women and men from a globalization that is destroying jobs and the environment. I am committed to a Europe that shares the often threatened values of democracy, solidarity and human rights. A Europe that can to turn its back on the social and ecological economic crises by developing the Green New Deal with an appropriate budget.
For me personally, Europe in 2014 represents more than ever a subversive and pragmatic dream leave behind nationalisms and selfishnesses. We need more Europe. We need more of a better Europe.
Finally, I would like to thank again everybody who participated in the first-ever European Primary from all the 28 member states. Through this experience I think we managed to start a campaign showing that we have a green and democratic vision for Europe.
